Duty: Ph.D. in organic chemistry with 5+ years of experience and a track record of accomplishment in process chemistry. The selected candidate will lead a group of process chemists to work on the process design, optimization and scale-up in the GMP plant. Significant leadership experience in an industry environment and good project management skills will be required.
To be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and leading the R & D organization in China in FTE, process development & scale up, customer synthesis, analytical development, quality control, EHS, purchasing and material operation.
To be responsible for overall organization structure in china, budget management, resource allocation, and setting up the R & D organization?s operating plan and strategic objectives. Review and approve organizational policies.
To review and approve all major projects and to exercise authority to implement projects. To provide a leadership role in designing, developing and improving synthetic routes and to supervise intermediates and API production at partner?s manufacturing facility.
To be responsible for representing the company from a technical perspective on business and scientific issues to both current and potential customers and partners.
Requirement: Fluent English, Fluent Mandarin Chinese.
Several years operational experience in managing a fine chemicals or pharmaceutical manufacturing organization.
Degree in chemistry or chemical engineering (advanced degree preferred).
Frequent visits to US headquarters in Princeton, NJ will be required.
